2012 Houston Gumbo Contests



The first test of the 2012 LSU Houston Gumbo Team is upon us. We have entered the Big Woodrow's Gumbo Cookoff to be held Saturday, January 28, 2012.

Bring your spices, your secret ingredients, and your support out to help us show these "Texans" how gumbo is supposed to taste.

As the other gumbo cook-offs around town begin to post the dates of their competitions, we will update calender. calander.

LSU Houston Sporting Clay Tournament

Please join us for the LSU Houston the 2012 LSU Houston Inaugural Sporting Clay Tournament! The cost is $100/ individual registration and $400/ foursome registration. Individual and Foursome costs include food and beverage (including alcohol), 20 loaner guns (or bring personal gun), 12 and 20 gauge ammo, 50 targets, 10 stations, shotgun format, eye and ear protection, range officer escort, award trophies and gifts, and scoring. Individual and foursome registration deadline is February 8, 2012. Sponsorship deadline is February 5, 2012.

The event will be held February 11, 2012, at the American Shooting Range from 8:30am - 2:00pm.

Mardi Gras Happy Hour at Blackfinn

LSU Houston's first Happy Hour of 2012 will be the Mardi Gras Happy Hour at Blackfinn American Grille.

 

Happy Hours are a great way to network, catch up with friends and meet new friends who share your interest in supporting LSU.

 

Drink specials for this event will include a special Mardi Gras cocktail, $3 wells, $3 house wines, and $3 domestics.

 

There will also be complimentary appetizers and a door prize of a $50 gift card.

 

Make sure you come out to both show your support for LSU Houston and have a few drinks with your fellow Tiger fans!
